About The Role
Join a next-generation manufacturing organization powering the future of artificial intelligence and high-performance computing. We are seeking a skilled System Integration Engineer to drive new product introduction (NPI), mechanical integration, and process optimization for server system builds. This role is responsible for evaluating design feasibility, validating system assemblies, improving production readiness, and ensuring smooth transition from prototype to mass production.
What You'll Do
- Lead NPI (New Product Introduction) project development, including feasibility studies for layout, capacity, process flow, PFMEA, DFX, equipment, fixtures, and automation.
- Perform mechanical system integration, BOM (Bill of Materials) validation, and cable routing for new server builds.
- Integrate and validate complete server systems to ensure mechanical accuracy, functionality, and manufacturability.
- Set up and optimize system assembly lines for both NPI builds and mass production readiness.
- Create SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and provide training to production line personnel.
- Develop NPI process flow charts and track NPI progress to ensure smooth execution and on-time delivery.
- Research and apply new manufacturing technologies, including Direct Liquid Cooling (DLC) for B300 systems and advanced AI server processes.
- Establish and implement standard procedures to improve production quality, efficiency, and repeatability.
- Lead troubleshooting, analysis, and corrective actions for mechanical or integration issues on the production line.
- Support production and quality teams in improving yield rates and reducing defects.
- Validate and implement ECN/ECR (Engineering Change Notice/Request) for hardware and firmware updates.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance factory processes, increase throughput, and reduce costs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What You Bring
- Experience in system integration, mechanical assembly validation, or NPI engineering within electronics or server manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design, cable routing, BOM structures, and system-level assembly.
- Familiarity with PFMEA, DFX, and manufacturing feasibility analysis.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Experience supporting NPI builds, production line setup, or transfer to mass production.
- Knowledge of DLC cooling systems, AI server architecture, or server hardware (preferred but not required).
- Proficient with measurement tools, mechanical inspection methods, and validation processes.
- Strong documentation skills, including SOP creation and ECN/ECR handling.
- Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions. -Strong collaboration skills with production, quality, and engineering teams.
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced, high-mix manufacturing environment.
Why Join Us
This position is ideal for someone passionate about high-tech manufacturing, continuous improvement, and hands-on engineering. You will have a direct impact on bringing new server technologies to market and shaping the future of production at our Austin plant.
