About the Job
Join a next-generation manufacturing organization powering the future of artificial intelligence and high-performance computing. Compal is seeking an experienced Quality Systems Director to play a foundational role in establishing and leading its Quality Management Systems (QMS). This role will design, implement, and maintain world-class quality systems that ensure regulatory compliance, operational consistency, and product quality and excellence across all manufacturing operations. This is a strategic, hands-on role responsible for shaping the quality infrastructure, driving quality culture, and ensuring the organization meets industry standards and customer expectations from day one.
What You'll Do
Develop and Maintain Quality Management System (QMS)
- Ensure the QMS complies with global standards (e.g., ISO 9001/14001/18001, IATF 16949).
- Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, policies, and quality controls to support stable, scalable, and compliant operations.
Internal Audits & Compliance
- Establish and oversee internal audit programs, corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes, risk assessments, and management review routines.
- Lead quality system readiness for customer, regulatory, and third-party certification audits.
- Ensure corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) are implemented.
Document Control
- Implement robust document control, change management, and quality record systems, including digital platforms or MES/QMS solutions.
- Oversee documentation processes to ensure all procedures and records are up-to-date and controlled.
Training and Awareness
- Provide training to employees on quality policies, standards, and system updates.
- Promote a quality culture across the organization.
Management Reviews
- Prepare for and participate in management review meetings.
- Present QMS performance, audit results, nonconformance trends, and improvement plans.
Supplier Quality System Evaluation (if applicable)
- Support or conduct audits and assessments of suppliers' QMS.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify areas for quality improvement.
- Lead or support Lean/Six Sigma or other improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Industrial Technology, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience with QS (Quality System) management.
- Proven experience building or scaling a QMS from startup, new site launch, greenfield project, or major transformation.
- Strong expertise in audit management, risk management, analytical, and structured problem-solving abilities.
Preferred
- Master’s Degree.
- Experience with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 26262, or ISO 13485.
- Strong stress resilience and demonstrated success partnering cross-functionally in manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain environments.
- Excellent communication, leadership, change management skills, and reporting findings.
